A Focus on Minmizing RO Reject Volumes
High Recovery Reverse Osmosis (RO) is ideal for when high recovery reverse osmosis is required, but a full zero liquid discharge (ZLD) system is not desired. With high recovery reverse osmosis typically 97-98% recovery is achieved, and low reject volumes are generated. A High Recovery RO project differs from a ZLD project in that for a High Recovery RO project it is not required that the reject water be further treated in an evaporator and crystallizer.
